Cachar College Wing:

The inception of the Cachar College NCC Boys (Army) wing in the year 2005 marked the beginning of a transformative journey. Nestled under the umbrella of the 3 Assam Bn NCC, Silchar, this venture embarked with a modest cohort of 20 enthusiastic cadets. Presently, the NCC boasts a formidable strength of more than 100 cadets, a far cry from its humble beginnings. The growth in numbers, however, is not merely quantitative. It symbolizes the maturation of a vision, the nurturing of leadership, and the forging of character.
A remarkable hallmark of the Cachar College NCC Boys (Army) wing's journey lies in its consistent ability to channelize talent towards national defense. On an average, 10 cadets annually make their mark by gaining entry into the prestigious ranks of central and state defense forces. However, the NCC's impact does not confine itself to the realm of military service alone. The cadets' journey extends beyond the barracks and drills, finding resonance in various spheres of society. The NCC ethos instills values that transcend the uniform and reverberate in the cadets' roles as responsible citizens. These young men, honed by the NCC's crucible, infiltrate diverse domains - be it academia, governance, entrepreneurship, or social work.
As the sun sets on each passing day, it casts its rays upon the NCC cadets who stand tall, with their hearts brimming with pride and determination. They are the torchbearers of the legacy created in the year 2005, and they continue to illuminate the path towards a better, stronger, and more united India.
